Is Charles a closet commie?

Don't get me wrong he does some good work for the Princes Trust and for that I tip my hat to him. I know his heart's in the right place but at times he's just an idiot.

His constant fiddling with architecture, for which he has an opinion but no clear understanding of social architecture, and why would he with the upbringing he had?, really pisses me off. This rant is out of context here, however, this one isn't, he's taken to blaming environmental problems on the lack of belief in the 'soul'.

He said he found it “baffling” that so many scientists professed a faith in God yet this had little bearing on the “damaging” way science was used to exploit the natural world.
Blow it out yer ass Charlie. What he is alluding to is that morals come from faith. Yet in that very statement is a contradiction of his own point. If these scientists 'believe in God' then why are they 'acting immorally'?

I think the point he wanted to make is that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts, for which I have some sympathy, we don't live in isolation, everything we do affects the world around us to some degree. But scientists are not stupid people, they know this. For some reason he blames the scientists. Should he be pointing the finger at the businesses that steer decisions?

It seems to me the change he actually wants is to the capitalist economy that benefits the people who take unreservedly, where the people who get the most the quickest can make things the cheapest and that squeeze the ethics out of their policy?

Charles, just like religions, has good intentions but completely misses the mark.

Bear in mind this is man who talks to plants. I just wish people wouldn't listen to him.
